Chris and Véro’s wedding

Party weddings are the hardest to follow. And Christian and Véronique’s was chaos. Perfect chaos.

There are weddings that follow the script to the letter and those that write the script as they go along. This wedding was definitely in the second category. But it was one of our most convincing successes.

In weddings, there are those moments that can’t be re-filmed and which, in the space of a moment, can be forgotten and lost forever.

As a filmmaker – yes, I am a filmmaker – I aim to prepare as much as possible. In weddings, there are those moments that can’t be re-filmed and which, in the space of a moment, can be forgotten and lost forever.

Planning is the key, even to chaos.

With brides and grooms more inclined to deviate from the original schedule, it makes it harder to get everything you need. Did I say difficult? I meant exciting. Christian and Véronique didn’t wait for the moments to be perfect, they lived it.

Whether the wedding goes ahead as planned or not, Caroline and I are delighted because we always have a backup plan, a second option. We’re not here to tell the perfect story, we’re here to tell your story through your wedding day.

This distinction ensures that our weddings are always authentic to our brides and grooms, and always perfectly tailored to their tastes. Being two at all times helps enormously, and is mainly one of the reasons why we don’t do weddings alone. And believe me, it’s one of the best decisions we’ve ever made, because if there’s one thing you can be sure of, it’s that there will be unforeseen events.

In fact, whether it’s the rain (as in this wedding), whether it’s the schedule that’s late (as in this wedding), whether it’s the bride and groom who’ve had a bit to drink (as in this wedding), whether it’s the guests who’ve had a lot to drink (as in this wedding), there’s nothing that can stop us from bringing this film to the point of listening to it nine times in two months.

Nine times in two months. That’s how many times the bride and groom listened to their film over and over again: with great-grandma at the residence, with the groomsmen at a party, with the bridesmaids at a guys’ night, and with the parents at a Christmas dinner.

History will tell if your film will have an additional uncensored version, because this wedding does…
