Julia and Jonathan’s wedding was one of our very first. And it was probably then that I fell in love (no pun intended) with wedding videography. I’m a passionate, authentic person, and I love everything to do with film. So, when it came to shooting their wedding, I knew right away that I was in exactly the right place.
It was a classic wedding: church, grand reception and a finely thought-out touch of luxury. I loved it. Doing this project made me realize that filming all kinds of events is rewarding, but a wedding took me somewhere else. Further away. In the emotions, in the joy, and above all in the way I wanted to look at the individuals at the heart of this video… or rather, this film.
Julia and Jonathan were exceptional and generous. And it was love at first sight – as it often is for me – for this duo that I put at the center of their film.
For me, capturing a wedding is much more than documenting a day. It’s about celebrating love, joy, but above all, two people, their stories, their lives and everything that revolves around them.
Whether it’s a grandiose wedding like this one, or a more discreet event like others we’ve captured, the settings change… but the place occupied by the people at the center of our film never changes.
P.S. I say “our work” because it really is. A work that is built hand in hand with the bride and groom.
